wisdom

The opening lines to "The Invitation." I wrote this late one night after being at a party & feeling dissatisfied with the usual social exchange. (Complete piece posted under "About" on this page.) It came from my gut & my heart, the voice of my soul following the thread of my longing for intimacy with myself, other & the world. Much to my surprise, the piece went into the world, the world responded, & the poem unfolded into a book. You just never know what will happen when you let your heart & soul speak. Wishing you a weekend filled with heart, rooted in the beauty of being an embodied soul, guided by the wisdom of the ache that reminds us what matters most. ~Oriah
